John Lewis, a physician executive, brings over 30 years of leadership and management experience in the healthcare industry, focusing on clinician management, healthcare strategy, operational efficiency, and enhancing clinical quality and patient safety.  John is passionate about improving healthcare and believes that the best way to do this is to appropriately support clinicians, give clear direction on treatment goals that are aligned with best practices and the stakeholder facility’s mission, vision, and values, all within a framework of accountability.  Throughout his career, he has successfully managed multiple specialties in numerous healthcare settings from small, critical access, rural hospital practices to the oversight of large groups at complex, academic, quaternary medical centers.  He is renowned for his clinical excellence and his leadership abilities, particularly in mentoring and developing clinician leaders.  Throughout his career, he was responsible for thousands of clinicians, improved the effectiveness of countless practices, led client strategic discussions, and mediated client and group contract negotiations in a multitude of settings.  Dr. Lewis received his medical training at the Medical College of Ohio, did his Emergency Medicine residency training at Allegheny General Hospital where he also served as the Chief Resident, and obtained his MBA at the Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University.
